The exhibition Capolavori della Scultura Buddhista Giapponese (Masterpieces of Japanese Buddhist Sculpture) was held at Scuderie del Quirinale in the summer of 2016. It displayed for the first time 21 wooden sculptures made between 600 and 1333 (when the carving of wood was Buddhists’ supreme art). We designed the exhibition catalogue, which featured essays and a glossary in Japanese, alongside exhibition captions of the artworks.
